  • Requires a licence for BI Publisher or XSL-FO editor
  • Requires redeployment each time
  • Templates are stored in APEX - application related
  • Nice work around if FOP not available
  • I could not get images working.
  • Needed an update to work with APEX 5

  • Line by line report coding
  • Layout and data model
  • Best feature -Advanced PDF features like merge or change files
  • Nice replacement for JASPER REPORT.
  • PL/SQL based but supports only PDFs
  • Found it quite useful
  • Best feature- free reporting option.
  • Requires server setup.
  • Authentication can be a problem
  • Best feature - Most complete reporting tool.
  • Most expensive option.
  • Integrates with other Oracle tools like EBS
  • Very sensitive to Word BI Publiser extension version!

  • Provides graphical user interface
  • Supports PDF and docx
  • Latest Firefox not supported - fix to follow
  • Installation/run in my own schema needed a support
  • Quick to setup and use
  • Supports ppt, PDF, docx, rtf, HTML and xlsx
  • Great performance
  • Only tool that offers print server 'as service'
  • Best feature - multiple data and template source options
