Coins for Kids is a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the goal of providing Christmas for disadvantaged children in the Washington County area of Southern Utah. 100% of all funds raised are used for this purpose. There are no administrative costs or paid staff, everyone working with Coins for Kids is a volunteer. All donations are completely tax deductible. The money that is raised for this effort comes directly from the community in the form of individual donations as well as corporate donations.
This year’s KONY COINS FOR KIDS (CFK) program will look a little different due to COVID 19. We have an even greater need for families and organizations to generously adopt some of our applicants this year.
Adopting a Coins for Kids family is a wonderful way for your family, company, or organization to give local families the Christmas they cannot give themselves. Adopting a family means that you will be matched with a family in need, and you will be responsible for shopping, wrapping, and delivering Christmas to them. While we do not set a cap on what you can spend per kid, we do ask that you spend a minimum of $120 per child which is the average spent on each child served by our organization. In your application, you can identify the maximum number of children that fit comfortably into your budget.
You will be given contact information for the parent/guardian of the family, and you will contact them to arrange delivery of gifts. If circumstances change and you are not able to provide Christmas for the family you adopted, we ask that you contact us before December 13th, so we can make sure the family still receives Christmas this year. Our hotline number is 435-634-6210, leave a message with your contact information and the family number(s) assigned.
