Column Actions

What's the deal here?

When you want to refresh your Interactive Report, but don't want to submit the entire page, you typically use Dynamic Action > Refresh.

This works fine, but it resets the pagination of the report and you end up back on page one after each refresh.
This can be quite annoying for a variety of reasons so I ended up creating a simple plugin which refreshes the Interactive Report, but at the same time doesn't reset the pagination.

Download it here!

Refresh both classic and interactive reports without losing pagination

Can I try out this plugin?

Of course!

Position yourself on the second page of pagination, and then
  • --- edit a record and save your changes, or
  • --- click on the button "Update Last changed", which will update the column "Last updated" to sysdate.

You'll notice that the report refreshes, but the pagination stays as it is.
You can also check out the other tab to see that Dynamic Action > Refresh does, in fact, reset the pagination.

Great! How do I use it?

It's really easy!
Instead of using "Refresh" in your Dynamic Action, all you have to do is to select Refresh Interactive Report 1.0 [Plug-in] as your true action. And that's it!

You don't even have to select your IR region, because you can only have one Interactive Report per page.
