Use the 'Claim Workspace' menu to claim one of the prefabricated workspaces on the machine made available on the day (at the conference).

A password will be displayed for you (see if you can guess the password theme)

Navigate to the APEX Builder login with your new credentials (workspace, username, password)

If you're using your own environment, take the time to create the tables, insert default data and import the sample application. You can source the related files at the SAGE website

Once you've successfully logged into the workspace, take the time to peruse the plug-in examples in this application. These are the plug-ins we'll be utilising.

When you're ready to start:
create a new application, call it what you like and use whichever theme - we're starting from scratch!

Don't worry about using a Tab set, we'll define our own navigation bar.

Instructions are available via the application and will be demonstrated on-screen for the period of the workshop, in three major segments.

Tips for following instructions:
All items will be referenced as Pn_ITEM, where n is the page number. Replace n with your page number, eg: P3_ITEM

Instructions for attributes that require free text will be shown as "#PRODUCT_ID#". Insert everything within the double quotes - do not copy the quotes.

For attributes chosen from a select list the required option will be shown in 'Single Quotes'.

If you see instructions suggesting "using SQL provided", or "as supplied", then check the syntax component of the instruction.

If instructions finish before wizard does, accept all remaining defaults.

I'll be available for help where possible, but please don't interrupt unless it seems appropriate. There should be time made available for questions, and I'll be happy to answer questions at other times during the conference.
