RightNow Social Monitor: Social Monitor Overview

General Information

  • Prerequisites: This overview is recommended for the other modules in the RightNow Social Monitor Administration courses. There are no prerequisites for this overview.

    Description: Social Monitor is a RightNow CX Cloud Service module that provides a view into how your organization and its competitors are perceived in the most popular social channels. It also enables agents to provide customer support via social channels in the same way they would interact using more traditional channels such as email, phone, or chat. This overview provides the foundational concepts that you need to understand the basic structure and navigation of a community.

    Note: This course is based on the August 2013 release of Social Monitor.  You may have a different version installed, but the basic tasks and concepts are similar. Releases prior to February 2013 use the label Cloud Monitor instead of Social Monitor for the icon in the navigation pane.
